This week’s challenge over at Less is More is entitled “Wings”
For this card I used my favorite trio of butterflies from the Kindness Matters stamp set from Stampin’ Up!
As always, this challenge calls for a one layer card. So, I masked the center of my card base with a Post-It-Note, and did the Polished Stone Technique around it. I used Gold Smooch Spritz, Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo inks.
The greeting is a little crooked. Ugh! But, after 3 tries at making this card, I thought it would do. The hardest part of this card was keeping the ink/alcohol mixture from seeping under the Post-Note-Note. I finally added some Dotto (temporary adhesive) to the edges of the mask, which helped keep it in place. But then, I needed to clean off the Dotto residue from inside the mask before I could stamp. No fear, I got out my handy dandy adhesive remover. These one layer cards are not as easy as they appear!
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Kindness Matters, Thank you Kindly
Ink: Basic Black, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Gold Smooch Spritz
Paper: Glossy White
Accessories: alcohol, cotton balls, Post-It-Note, Dotto, adhesive remover
