Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Sunflower, One Layer Wednesday 103, Scoring

Here’s another contribution to this week’s One Layer Wednesday challenge, “scoring.” This one is inspired by the blooming sunflowers all over my yard that have come up from the seed mix I put out for the birds.  Love these volunteers!

Sunflower 003

For this card, I used the faux tile technique.  This is so easy to do, especially since I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool.  I first inked up the sunflower using Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight ink.  I spritzed a little water on the ink, then stamped on my Very Vanilla base.  Card size is 4 x 5, so I scored every 1/2″ both ways to get the grid.  I lightly sponged on some Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso to highlight the grid lines.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set: Sunflower

Ink: Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight

Paper: Very Vanilla

Accessories: Simply Scored Scoring Tool, sponge, spritzer bottle and water
