Recently, I was dying paper daisies in a variety of colors as part of a gift for one of my hostesses. I would place the daisies in a jar with a mixture of water, rubbing alcohol and stamp pad reinkers and let them set for a few minutes. I would then place them on a sheet of recycled packing paper to dry. This paper is what Stampin’ Up! uses as packing in their shipments. I always save it to use to cover/protect my work surface for messy projects such as painting, brayering, or as a drying surface for projects such as the paper daisies. When I removed the daisies, my work paper was covered with a pretty mixture of various colors from where the daisies were sitting as they dried. I knew it had potential for another project!
I simply cut it down to card size and stamped on it using Circle Circus. The paper already had creases in it from when it was crumpled up for packing in the SU! box, so I ran my Soft Suede ink pad over the crinkles. I really like how this card came out. So simple and is a great way to recycle and reuse!
