Oh, what a great challenge this week over at One Layer Wednesday. The challenge theme is “Transportation.”
Here’s my contribution:
I knew immediately what stamp set I wanted to use: Sentimental Journey because of the car image that looks like a Mini Cooper. I happen to drive a red and black Mini Cooper. I purchased my Mini way back in 2003 when they first became available in the United States (Of course Minis have been around a long time, but I was one of the very first new-style Mini owners in Albuquerque, NM). Needless to say, I love my Mini! It has taken me here to there and back again faithfully for 9 years! Wow!
So for this card, I decided I wanted a trippy dippy look to go with the retro car image. I used the clear block watercolor technique. I simply dabbed red and black ink pads on a clear block, spritzed it with water and stamped! So easy to do, and it gives a very 60’s-70’s tie dye look.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Sentimental Journey
Ink: Real Red and Basic Black
Paper: Whisper White
Accessories: Clear Block “E”, spritzer bottle filled with water
That’s it!
