Nacho Average Challenge #6-Altered Clothespins

The Nacho Average Challenge for this week is a color challenge.  Colors to be used are Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry and Lucky Limeade.

Here’s my contribution, Altered Clothespins

Need a quick gift idea?  Altered clothespins make fun gifts and are quick, easy and inepensive to make.  They can be purchased at almost any grocery or home improvement store. (I purchased 50 clothes pins for .97 at my local ***mart.  Wow, you can’t beat that price!) They can easily set on a desk to clip papers or hang on a refrigerator or filing cabinet if a magnet is added to the back.

The thing to remember when crafting with clothespins is to think small!  Small stamps and small embellishments. The Tiny Tags stamp set and coordinating Jewelry punch are perfect for this project. Measure the width and length of your clothespin and cut card stock or Designer Series Paper to size.   (these clothespins measure 3 1/2 x 3/4).  I used Tombow Multipurpose glue to glue the paper to each side of the clothespin.  Mini Glue Dots were used to attach the tiny tags and punched flowers.

I punched a small circle out of a peel and stick magnet (found at any office supply store) using the circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and attached them to the back of each clothespin.  These beauties are hanging on my refrigerator!

Since I used the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper, I added a  gift card made using the coordinating Bright Blossoms stamp set.  Very easy!
