Seems like I’ve been using my Watercolor Crayons quite a bit lately and they are in constant need of sharpening. When I emptied out my pencil sharpener, I was left with this colorful pile of crayon shavings. Oh so pretty!
I instantly thought, Shaker Cards!
I decided to use My Digital Studio to create a quick and simple hybrid card. This card was basically CASED (copy and share with everyone) from the current Stampin’ Up! catalog, but it has a twist as a shaker card filled with crayon shavings.
The tree (Thoughts and Prayers) and greeting (Loving Thoughts) are MDS downloads printed on Confetti Cream card stock, cut down and matted to an Early Espresso card base. The Old Olive scallop border and stamped Elegant Eggplant pieces were added. I used my 1 1/4″ circle punch to create the hole and used the slightly larger 1 1/2″ foam circle for the frame on the back side. I added a thin rim around the edge of the frame on the front to complete the card.
