This is one of the cards we created in my recent Favorite Techniques Class for the Wetmore ladies. The technique is Wax Paper Resist. This is a very simple way to create unique backgrounds using wax paper and an iron.
We stamped the flowers from the Fabulous Florets stamp set found in the Summer Occasions Mini catalog from Stampin’ Up! using Basic Black ink We then water colored them using Watercolor Crayons, cut them out and then popped them up using Dimensionals. The “sun” was cut out of glossy card stock using the Big Scallop Circle die and the Big Shot before doing the Wax Paper resist. The color brayered on was Daffodil Delight.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Fabulous Florets
Ink: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, glossy white
Accessories: wax paper, iron, brayer, Watercolor Crayons, Aquapainter, Dimensionals, sponge
