Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Circles Inlaid Embossing

I recently learned Inlaid Embossing, a great new Big Shot technique.

Double Embossing 092

What you need:

-Big Shot and an embossing folder.  My favorite to use is the Square Lattice Embossing Folder because it provides great texture.

-punched or die cut images.  For this card, I used several different sizes of circle punches.

-glue  Tombow Multi-purpose glue works great.  So does Mono or SNAIL adhesive.

1. Punch or die cut your images out of card stock.

2. Glue the cut pieces onto your card front.  Whatever type of adhesive you use, make sure that the layered pieces are glued securely to the card front. You don’t want them coming off at a later time. Also, if you use a liquid glue, be sure to only use a small amount and let it dry completely before running it through the Big Shot.  If it is not dry, you might have squished glue coming out from under your inlaid pieces!

3. Insert this piece into an embossing folder and then run it through your Big Shot.

All the pieces will be embossed giving you this cool texture:

By the way, this card was inspired by our shower curtain!  In the store, I was immediately drawn to these colors.  I saw Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso or Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie and Creamy Carmel (retired).  I have been wanting to create a card using it as my inspiration for 2+ years!  The Inlaid Embossing technique got me in gear.  You never know where your inspiration will come from!
