Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Monogrammed Chalkboard Magnet

I gave each of my Open House guests a monogrammed chalkboard refrigerator magnet using a piece of the Chalkboard Decor Element from Stampin’ Up!

Open House cards July 2010 025

For the base, I used a cut piece of left over cardboard that comes as part of the packing for Designer Series Paper.  I covered it with Tempting Turquoise card stock.  I then added a layer of Island Oasis DSP. I cut a piece of chalkboard Decor Element to size, peeled off the backing and placed on top as my next layer.  I personalized each piece by adding a monogram letter cut out of coordinating card stock using my Big Shot and Serif Essentials Alphabet Die.  The flower brad and ribbon were added for an extra design touch.  The letters are popped off the board using dimensionals.  I added a peel and stick magnetic strip (purchased from an Office Supply store) to the back.  I gave each guest a piece of chalk in a coordinating color to take home with them.  This was a fun project!
