Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Recycled Autumn Vine card

This was my swap card for my two October Stamp Clubs.  I saw the layout in the recent edition of PaperCrafts Magazine, and knew I had to recreate it using my own twist.  I especially like that I was able to recycle some items around the house.  The branch is Salt-cedar or Tamarisk.  Several years ago, my husband and I made shutters for the two big windows in our living and dining rooms using Salt-cedar branches.  Salt-cedar is considered a “weed” in the southwest.  It grows along river and ditch banks and drinks up a lot of our precious water.  The branches are such a pretty color, and it adds a lot of interest to a project.  We spent several outings collecting the branches for our shutter project, and we had some left over.

I also cut down an old Stampin’ Up! box (I seem to have lots of them!) to mat the Autumn Vine Designer Paper.
