It’s easy to create sponged stenciled cards with left over pieces cut using the tree from In the Woods Framelits die.
Simply tape the stencil onto your card front using washi or painter’s tape, then sponge on colors inside the stencil. For this card, I used Balmy Blue and Highland Heather inks for a non-traditional Christmas card.
Once satisfied with the coverage, remove the stencil.
I cut the landscape pieces using the Big Shot and In the Woods Framelits die in Balmy Blue and Gorgeous Grape card stock and added them to the card front, trimming off the edges to fit.
The piece was matted in Silver Foil, then Gorgeous Grape.
The greeting from Dashing Deer was stamped onto the Whisper White card front using Highland Heather ink. I used my Stamparatus to get good inked coverage.
Rhinestones were added to complete.

Colors used for the spongsteed tree were Old Olive an Mossy Meadow.
For the background, I stamped Buffalo Check onto Whisper White card stock using Cherry Cobbler ink.
I used my Stamparatus to get good ink coverage.
The landscape pieces are cut out of Whisper White and Mossy Meadow card stock.
I punched a star out of Cherry Cobbler card stock, and added rhinestones colored with a red Sharpie pen to complete.
