Easter Bunny York Peppermint Candy Holders

Easter Bunny York Peppermint Candy Holders

Happy Easter!

Here’s a quick and easy Easter gift idea using the Big Shot and framelits dies or punches.

They hold a York Peppermint Patty.

I created these cuties as thank-you gifts for attendees at a recent class.

Here’s how:

  1. Punch the front and back of the bunnies out of a piece of Shimmery White card stock using a 2 1/2″ circle punch or the Big Shot and a framelits die. Sponge ink around the edges.  I used Berry Burst ink.
  2.  For the faces, I used the retired stamp set Playful Pals stamped in Basic Gray ink on the punched circle.  If you don’t have that set or one like it, it would be easy to draw on the nose and whiskers with markers.  Use smaller circle punches to create the eyes and attach them using Dimensionals.  Stamp the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes using Basic Gray ink.
  3. The packets of York Peppermint Patties are a rectangle shape, so I applied a little SNAIL Adhesive to the backs, and folded up the edges, securing them to the SNAIL.  This way, they are more round in shape and the edges will not show beyond the Shimmery White circles.
  4. Apply SNAIL Adhesive on the back side of a stamped circle which will be your front and a plain circle which will be your back. Sandwich the York Peppermint Patty in between.

5.  For the ears, again I used Playful Pals with the retiring Pyramid Pals Framelits dies.  I stamped the ear images on a piece of Shimmery White card stock using Berry Burst or Sweet Sugarplum ink.  I cut them out using the Big Shot and framelits dies.  If you don’t have this set of framelits, you can always use oval punches to create the ears out of card stock. Apply a small amount of SNAIL to the bottom of each ear and attach to the inside of the front circle.

6. Stamp the bow from Playful Pals onto a piece of Sweet Sugarplum card stock using Berry Burst ink.  Cut out using the matching framelit die.  Use a piece of ribbon tied in a bow if you don’t have the framelits die.  Attach to the front of the circle using a Mini Dimensional.

7. Punch a tail out of Berry Burst or Sweet Sugarplum card stock using a 1 1/4″ scallop punch.  Or, use a small circle punch.  Attach to the back circle using a Mini Dimensional. Easter Bunnies Back
