That’s the Tag Stained Glass

Thats the Tag Stained Glass

Create the look of stained glass by using Vellum cardstock and Stampin’ Up! Write Markers.

For this card, I paired the Stained Glass Technique with the retiring stamp set That’s the Tag and coordinating Timeless Tags Thinlits Dies.

The technique is easy.  Here’s how:

To begin, first cut the flower oval out of Early Espresso ink using the Big Shot and Timeless Tags Thinlit Die.

Then, cut out the solid oval out of vellum cardstock .

You will now have 2 pieces that will need to be glued together.  For this piece, I used my Fine Tip Glue Pen along the narrow edges of the Early Espresso frame.

Turn the piece over, and you are ready to color in the back side of the vellum, using the Early Espresso flower as your guide.

For this card, I used Watermelon Wonder, Old Olive, Pool Party and Crushed Curry markers.

When you turn it over, you will now have a pretty piece with the look of stained glass!

To complete the card, I applied glue from the Fine Tip Glue pen carefully along the inside of each of the segments of the flower.  This gives a lacquer finish look of glass.

I hope you’ll give the Stained Glass Technique a try!
