Crafting with Paint Chips-Little Birthday Cakes

Crafting with Paint Chips

One of my all-time favorite stamping techniques is to use paint chip samples found in the paint department at our local home improvement store.

I recently found a vast treasure trove of paint chips with pretty images and color combinations printed by Behr.  I picked up a handful and have enjoyed crafting with them.

Here are some of the paint chips I’ve collected.

Crafting with Paint Chips

I thought this paint chip would make the perfect card that I needed for an upcoming birthday.  I just love the image of the little birthday cakes.

The colors match Stampin’ Up!’s Peek a Boo Peach, Sahara Sand and Elegant Eggplant.

After cutting the chip down slightly to remove the little bear symbol for Behr paints, I simply matted it to a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Then, I attached it to a Peek a Boo Peach card front.

The greeting is from Dragonfly Dreams stamped using Elegant Eggplant ink on a piece of banner cut Sahara Sand card stock.

Easy, Easy.

I just let the paint chip do most of the work!

Next time you are at your local hardware store, stop in the paint department and take a look at the variety of paint chips.

Crafting with paint chips; the possibilities are endless!

Be sure to share your creations.  I’d love to see them!
