Tie Dye Happy Ornament-Clear Block Stamping

Happy ornament 008

I’m really liking the fun Happy Ornament stamp found in the SU! Holiday Catalog!

This stamp is perfect for water coloring, but I decided to change it up a little bit by creating a clear block water color tie dye background.

I inked up my clear block “E” by patting on Emerald Envy, Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon and Cherry Cobbler inks.  I spritzed the block with water until the ink began to pool and run and then stamped it on my water color paper card front.  I let it set for a minute or two so the ink would absorb into the paper, lifted it up and set the paper away to dry.  After it dried, I stamped the ornament using black archival ink.  I colored in the bow using a black Sharpie pen and then added a rhinestone that I colored using a red Sharpie pen.

The color possibilities are endless!

I watched the videos and realized how to do a shaker card. Pretty cool. The bubble wrap card is so much fun. The blue really stands out in each card. I like your videos. You get right to the card instructions. Great creative ideas. -D Welch
