Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Watercolor Wings and Stenciling with Decorative Masks

Watercolor Wings 020

Create pretty backgrounds using one of Stampin’ Up!’s decorative masks and sponge daubers!

Tips:
Use different sponge daubers for each color to keep your colors from becoming muddy.

To help keep the stencil from shifting as you work, secure it to your work surface using painter’s or masking tape.
And hold the stencil down with the tips of your fingers on one hand, while you work with the other.
You can also using a Stampin’ Sponge to add your color.  Or add a few drops of reinker into a Stampin’ Spritzer filled with water or rubbing alcohol and lightly spray the ink through the stencil.  Let the ink dry before removing the stencil.

The butterfly is from the stamp set Watercolor Wings (coordinates with the Butterfly Framelits).  This is a 4 step stamp.
For this butterfly, I stamped stamp #1 (solid image) using Blushing Bride, my lightest color.
#2 stamp (outline) was inked up in Melon Mambo, stamped off onto my work paper, then stamped over image #1.
#3 stamp (detail) was stamped in Melon Mambo full strength.
#4 stamp (body) was stamped using Gray Archival ink.

I watched the videos and realized how to do a shaker card. Pretty cool. The bubble wrap card is so much fun. The blue really stands out in each card. I like your videos. You get right to the card instructions. Great creative ideas. -D Welch
