March Nacho Average Blog Hop-Happy Easter Shaving Cream Technique

Welcome to the Nacho Average Design Team’s Blog Tour for March!

Our theme is St. Patrick’s Day and Easter.

I am sharing samples featuring the Shaving Cream Technique, one of my all-time favorites.

It is one of those simple techniques that has a WOW factor.

My first project is a shamrock made using a heart punch.  I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock that I placed in my shaving cream/reinker mix.  Once the card stock was dry, I punched out 3 hearts using my Full Heart punch.  The stem is from the Bird Builder punch.

My second project is a collection of bright and cheery Easter eggs!

I used my Big Shot and an Oval Thinlits die to cut several pieces out of Whisper White card stock.  I then placed them in my shaving cream/reinker mix.

To create a card base, I cut another oval out of Whisper White card stock.  I placed the oval in my scoring tool and scored along the top at 1/2″.  I secured the shaving cream egg to the scored oval, folding the base along the score line.

For my third project, I created a cute Easter bunny basket.  The rabbit was made with the Big Shot and the Gift Bow Bigz die and a collection of punches.

I used the Berry Basket Bigz die to create the basket.  The basket pieces were placed in my shaving cream/reinker mix before assembly.

For my final project, I combined a Tea Lace Doily dipped into my shaving cream/reinker mix with the cute chick from Honeycomb Happiness.  The chick was stamped on watercolor paper using black archival ink and colored in using an aqua painter and Daffodil Delight and Hello Honey inks.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to continue on through the Hop and see the beautiful creations of our talented Design Team!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Happy Easter!
