There is a fun sketch challenge this week over at the Can You Case It Site?
Here is my contribution:
One of my all-time favorite stamping techniques is to use paint chip samples found in the paint department at our local home improvement store. I recently found a vast treasure trove of paint chips with pretty images and color combinations printed by Behr. I picked up a handful and have enjoyed crafting with them.
Here is a photo of some of them I have collected.

When I saw this week’s sketch challenge, I immediately thought of my stash. Since Valentine’s Day is around the corner, I picked the sample above with different shapes and colors of chocolate candy. I punched a heart out of Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper and stamped one of the greetings from Picture Perfect. By using this greeting, it could be used for Valentine’s Day or as a thank you card. The heart and greeting are strategically placed over the names of the paint colors. Perfect for the sketch!

Great idea using the paint chips. My daughter has used images from catalogs she gets from different stores in her artwork.
