Stencil Cut Striped Feather-Nacho Average Color Challenge #142

We have a bright color challenge this week over at the Nacho Average site: Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe!

Here’s my contribution:

Four Feathers 014

These three colors are retiring on June 2nd.  I’m so sad.  The 2013-2105 In Colors quickly became my favorites.  Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Baked Brown Sugar.  I used them a lot, and I will miss them!

So to go along with the retiring colors, I used mostly retiring items to create this card: Says it All stamp set, Feathers Framelits, Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana Thick Baker’s Twine and 2013-2015 In Color Sequins.

To create the feather stencil, I cut the feather out of Whisper White card stock using my Big Shot and Feathers Framelits.  I adhered 1/4″ wide strips of the challenge colors on a smaller piece of card stock and then set the feather stencil on top.  I added speckles from Gorgeous Grunge (not retiring!) using Coastal Cabana ink.  I added the In Color Sequins using Mini Glue Dots.  Bright, cheery and easy to do!

Supplies Used:

Ink: Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana

Paper: Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe

Accessories: Big Shot, Feathers Framelits, Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana Thick Baker’s Twine, In Color Sequins, Mini Glue Dots
