This week’s Nacho Average color challenge is Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe and Daffodil Delight.
Here’s my contribution:
For this card, I used a new watercolor technique I learned from Nichole Heady over at Inspired Papertrey Ink. She calls it the No Line Watercolor Technique, and it is so simple to do. You will need watercolor paper and an Aquapainter or brush. First, stamp an image in a light ink. For my card, I used one of the flowers in the Mixed Bunch Stamp set stamped in Daffodil Delight ink. Then, with your Aquapainter, pick up more ink and fill in the stamped image. Continue to add more color as desired. For my card, I used Crisp Cantaloupe to fill in the flower. You can still see the outline of the original stamped image. I added a touch of Daffodil Delight ink mixed with a little bit of Crisp Cantaloupe to fill in around the flower image. I then added some Coastal Cabana ink. I also stamped the speckles from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink. Love this technique!
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Mixed Bunch, Gorgeous Grunge, Sincere Salutations
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Daffodil Delight, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, watercolor paper
Accessories: Aquapainter, Coastal Cabana button, twine from this year’s Sale-A-Bration-I think it is Summer Starfruit, but it’s close enough to Daffodil Delight 🙂
