Bokeh Technique-Nacho Average Color Challenge #74

Our color challenge this week over at the Nacho Average site is Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.

Here’s my contribution:

Bokeh 036

For this card, I created a “bokeh” background.  According to Wikipedia,” the bokeh is the blur or aesthetic quality of the blur in out of focus areas of an image.”  This is becoming one of my all-time favorite techniques!

I simply used the circle stencil from Build a Banner kit and sponged on the challenge colors completely filling in the color onto two pieces of Whisper White card stock.  I wanted these pieces to fit the panels on a card that was cut out using the Big Shot and Circles Card Thinlit die.  The larger panel measures 2 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ and the smaller measures 5/8″ x 5 1/4″.

For more bokeh samples, please visit my Bokeh Techniques page HERE.
