Sock Snowmen

These guys are certain to bring a smile!

Sock Snowmen 023

I saw the idea to make sock snowmen on Pinterest, and I knew I had to give it a try.  I followed the instructions provided by Brittany over at  Darkroom and Dreary.  I thought about creating my own set of instructions, but I certainly couldn’t have done any better as Brittany’s are very easy to follow with good step-by-step photos.  Thanks Brittany!

I used boys crew socks that I purchased as a package of 6 from our local dollar store.  The socks are filled with rice.  The faces were made with small ball head straight pins. The scarves are made using scrap pieces of fabric that Stampin’ Up! used to sell.

The flower on the girl’s hat was made using the fabric strip flower technique.

The pom pom on the top of her hat was made using various colors of baker’s twine looped and tied together, then the loops were cut open.

I hot-glued on buttons I had in my stash.

Too stinkin’ cute!

Testimonials

I watched the videos and realized how to do a shaker card. Pretty cool. The bubble wrap card is so much fun. The blue really stands out in each card. I like your videos. You get right to the card instructions. Great creative ideas. -D Welch
