July Sketch Challenge for Cards using Pansy Petals

Here’s my July Sketch Challenge for Cards!

Sometimes it helps to have a starting off point with your crafting, and a sketch challenge is a perfect way to begin!

Let me help you with this July Sketch Challenge for cards.

Use the sketch as a blueprint for your own creations.

Then, make it your own by choosing the occasion, colors, papers and embellishments.

I created this card for the friend’s granddaughter who graduated from high school this year.

By using the sketch challenge as my starting off point, the card came together rather quickly.

I let  Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper be the focal point, adding a pretty pop of colors.

Here’s How:

1. Cut a circle out of Pansy Patch Designer Series Paper using a punch or die-cut machine and circle die.  I used my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and a circle die.
2.  Adhere to a Fresh Freesia mat cut out using a slightly larger punch or die.
3. Emboss Blackberry Bliss card front using die-cut machine and Painted Texture Embossing Folder.  Attach to Fresh Freesia card base.  Attach matted circle to card front.
4. Stamp greeting on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Blackberry Bliss ink.  Adhere to Evergreen Evening mat.  Attach to card front using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up.

Since I don’t make graduation cards very often, I didn’t have any current graduation greeting sets.  Instead, I used images from 2 past Paper Pumpkin kits: Pocketful of Cheer and Thanks for Everything.
