Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Leaf Stamping

Fall is my favorite time of the year, and I wanted to create a fall-themed card using the leaf stamping technique.  So fun and easy to do.  And the possibilities are endless. You’ll never look at a leaf the same way again!

(Be sure to view my flower stamping and apple stamping tutorials.)

I am also submitting this card for this week’s CASology challenge.  The cue word is “autumn.”

Leaf Stamping 003

Here was my inspiration.  The Gamble Oaks are beginning to turn. This is why I love fall!

I used a leaf from one of the many, many Gamble Oaks we have around our property.

I attached it to a clear-mount block using a little SNAIL Adhesive. I inked it up using More Mustard and Ruby Red craft ink spots.  You could also paint it using acrylic paints.

And then stamped!  I got 2-3 stampings with 1 inking.  I actually made 8 of these cards for a fall-themed card swap using the same leaf just reinked in between each card.

TIPS: Be sure to set it aside to dry completely.  And be sure to clean the ink off your fingers before you assemble the card.  I ended up with a few smudge marks on the first couple of card bases, so I got out my Cajun Craze marker and Color Spritzer Tool and spritzed on some color to help hide the smudges.  I liked the result so much, that I added spritzed color to the rest of the cards.

And don’t forget to add a coordinating envelope using the used grid sheet work paper, Big Shot, and Envelope Liner Framelit!
