Create a clean & simple card using Celebrate Sunflowers!
What are clean & simple cards?
Clean & simple cards involve minimal or no layering. They can also have lots of “white” or open space which gives the “clean” look.
Creating clean & simple cards is often not simple though. Pairing down to the basics can be a challenge and can take some practice.
Don’t overthink it, and remember less is more. Try to keep the layers to a minimum, and celebrate the white space. Not every part has to be filled with images, colors or embellishments.
For this clean & simple card, I used the Sunflowers Die, along with Painted Texture Embossing Folder from Stampin’ Up!
The card has a lot of white or open space, but is accented with a pop of color using Polished Pink Designer Series Paper.
Here’s how:
- Start by cutting Basic White rectangle frame by nesting two Stitched Rectangle Dies and cutting out using die-cut machine.
- Stamp greeting from Free as a Bird using Polished Pink ink.
- Cut sunflower out of Basic White card stock using die-cut machine and Sunflowers die. Cut center out of Polished Pink card stock and Sunflowers die.
- Adhere sunflower to the back of the rectangle frame using SNAIL. Trim edges of sunflower if needed.
- Attach to In Color designer series paper.
- Emboss Basic White card front using die-cut machine and Painted Texture Embossing Folder.
- Adhere to Basic White card base. Attach frame using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up. Attach center to sunflower using Mini Dimensional to pop it up.
