Beautifully Penned by Stampin’ Up!
August Sketch Challenge
This is my second take on my August Sketch Challenge.
For my first card, I used the pretty Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!
But, I didn’t color the paper, leaving it as is in black and white.
For my second card, I decided to add some color using Stampin’ Blends.
What are Stampin’ Blends?
Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers help you create highlights and shadows for a 3D coloring effect. Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs includes two high-quality alcohol markers— a dark shade and a light shade—for an amazing color blending experience. Use these markers with the Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter for additional blending possibilities.
Where can you find Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper?
Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper is one of the Sale-A-Bration choices.
For every $50 spent during Sale-A-Bration (ends September 30th), you can choose an item out of the Sale-A-Bration Catalog.
The paper is pretty on its own in black and white.
But it really pops when color is added!
Here’s How:
- Cut Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper in panels using the measurements in the sketch.
- Color using Stampin’ Blends or Stampin’ Write Markers. I used a variety of Stampin’ Blends.
- Attach to Basic Black mat. Then, attach to Basic White card front.
- Stamp greeting from Welcoming Woods stamp set on scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Melon Mambo ink. Attach to Gorgeous Grape mat, and attach to card front using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up. Add an enamel shapes heart (from my stash) to complete.
