Sweet Treats Lollipop
Our cue word this week over at CASology challenge site is “Dessert!”
Here’s my contribution:
I saw this idea to make a lollipop out of punched circles from Sandra Farrell a while ago and loved it. I thought this challenge would be the perfect time to give it a try myself.
To create the lollipop, I started with a 1 3/8″ white card stock circle as my base and then punched 15 circles out of scrap card stock using my 3/4″ circle punch. This is a great way to use up some of those paper scraps!
I put Dotto temporary adhesive around the center of the large circle and then started laying out the smaller circles around the edges, adjusting as necessary as I went around. I had a small gap in the center when I was done, so I simply added a flower brad to cover it up.
The lollipop stick is from a grape Tootsie Roll Pop cut down to a shorter length. The circle base is popped up off the card base using a Dimensional, and the stick is attached using Mini Glue Dots.
Stampin’ Up! supplies:
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Elegant Eggplant
Paper: Sahara Sand, Whisper White and various colors of scrap card stock
Accessories: Big Shot, Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Bitty Banners Framelits, 1 3/8″ and 3/4″ circle punches, Dotto adhesive, Paper Piercing Tool and Mat, flower brad, Daffodil Delight Seam Binding, Dimensional, Mini Glue Dots
