Acrylic Block Stamping Technique
Create interesting watercolor backgrounds using this easy technique.
This is one of my all-time favorite stamping techniques. I use it often in my crafting.
You can see more of my Acrylic Block (or clear block) creations HERE
All you need is an acrylic or clear block, ink, and a spritzer bottle with water.
I used the Acrylic Block Stamping Technique to create this pretty watercolor background for glimmery snowflakes.
I used the stamp set Snowflake Wishes for the greeting and the coordinating So Many Snowflakes Dies cut out of Rainbow Glimmer Paper.
This card just makes me smile!
Here’s How:
- Tap three colors of ink onto an acrylic or clear block “E”:
- Blushing Bride in the middle of the block
- Rich Razzleberry along the top and sides of the block
- Bermuda Bay along the bottom and sides of the block
2. Lightly spritz the block with water until the ink begins to run and pool.
3. Stamp block onto watercolor paper (Shimmery White cardstock works well too). Let the block sit for a few seconds, then lift. Set piece aside to dry completely.
4. Stamp greeting from Snowflake Wishes using Blackberry Bliss ink. I used the Stamparatus. Attach to Bermuda Bay mat, then to Basic White card base.
5. Cut two snowflakes out of Rainbow Glimmer Paper using So Many Snowflakes Dies. Attach smaller snowflake to larger snowflake using a Mini Dimensional to pop it up. Add snowflakes to card front. Attach a 2021-2023 In Color Jewel to the center of the smaller snowflake to complete.
