Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Technique!
Create pretty backgrounds using the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Technique.
(You can see more of my Stampin’ Blends Creations HERE)
For these three cards, I paired the background technique with heat embossed vellum card stock.
Here’s How:
- On a piece of transparency or window sheet, scribble splotches using Stampin’ Blends. For these cards, I used Bermuda Bay, Cajun Craze, Poppy Parade, and Daffodil Delight.
- Spritz with 91-99% Isopropyl Alcohol. Only 91-99% Isopropyl Alcohol will work for this technique.
- Lay Vellum card stock face down into the Blend’s colors, rubbing the back side with your fingertips. Pick up and set aside to dry completely.
- Stamp images from Dragonfly Garden onto Vellum card stock using Versamark ink. Heat emboss using heat tool and white embossing powder.
- Cut frame for card front out of Bermuda Bay card stock using the Stitched Rectangle Dies and Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
- Attach Vellum to back of frame.
7.Options:
- Attach frame to Basic White card base for a clean and simple look (card #1)
- Attach a piece of colored card stock to the back of the frame to add more color. For the second card, I attached the frame to a piece of Gold Foil paper. For the third card, I attached the frame to a piece of Magenta Madness card stock.
Three different looks. Which one do you like better?
8. Stamp greeting from Beauty of Friendship using Bermuda Bay or Magenta Madness ink to complete.
