Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Craft with Paper Towels-Sharing Sunshine Card with Paper Towel Background

Craft with Paper Towels

I often use the paper towels I have used for cleaning stamps or blotting watercolors in my crafting.

They add interesting colors and textures to a card project!

Plus, it’s good to recycle and reuse!

You can see more of my paper towel backgrounds HERE

I paired a paper towel background with the retiring Sharing Sunshine stamp set to create this card.

(Sharing Sunshine is retiring.  Retiring items are available through May 2 or while supplies last)

Doesn’t this happy sun face just bring a smile?

Here’s How:

  1. Craft with Paper Towels-Separate the plys and attach one piece to scrap card stock using adhesive.  I use Stampin’ Seal by Stampin’ Up, but any tape runner type adhesive will work.  Adhesive Sheets would work well too.  By attaching the paper towel to card stock, you’ll be able to cut it down to the size you need easily.  Trim to the size needed for your project.  Attach to Pacific Point mat.
  2. Stamp sun and face on Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper using Night of Navy ink.  Fussy cut using scissors.
  3. Die-cut clouds out of Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper using die-cut machine and Majestic Mountains Die.
  4. Attach sun and clouds to paper towel background using Mini Dimensionals to pop them up.
  5. Stamp greeting and dots on Basic White card base using Night of Navy ink.
  6. Attach card front to card base to complete.
