Pastels Versamark Resist Technique
An easy technique using Soft Pastels and Versamark.
Expand your coloring repertoire with the Soft Pastels Assortment! These easy-to-use chalk pastels work with a variety of coloring tools like Stampin’ Up!’s Sponge Daubers, Blending Brushes, and Water Painters. Here’s a fun tip: Try scribbling your pastel chalk on a scrap piece of paper to create chalk dust, then use your Water Painters to create your very own watercolor paints!
The pastel chalk material also works great with images stamped in VersaMark. Simply stamp your image with VersaMark ink, let it dry, then color over it with the pastel markers and your choice of coloring tool. The Soft Pastels Assortment comes in a cardboard case for storage.
Here’s How:
- Stamp images from Botanical Layers on Basic White card stock using Veramark ink.
- Color over the Versamark using a variety of colors found in the Soft Pastels Assortment.
- Buff with a paper towel or tissue. The Versmarked images will pop.
- Attach to mat and card base. Stamp and heat emboss greeting on Basic Black card stock using VersaMark Ink and White Embossing Powder. Attach to card front, and add embellishments to complete.
That’s it!
The possibilities are endless!
