This is another great technique to use with your Big Shot die cutting machine, an embossing folder and printed Designer Series Paper.
Here’s How!
You Need:
Big Shot
Embossing folder-Elegant Bouquet used for this sample #115964, $7.95
Patterned designer paper-For this sample, Real Red Letter Print design from the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack #117158, $19.95 for 40 sheets
Versamark
Brayer
Black Embossing Powder
Heat Tool
1. Roll the brayer in the Versamark pad several times to completely ink the brayer.
2. Open the embossing folder of your choice. Brayer the Versamark on the TOP side of the folder-the side that has the indented or recessed image-not the raised image.
3. Insert the piece of designer series paper into the embossing folder. The side you want embossed should go face DOWN on the recessed side that has the Versamark. It should be touching the Versamarked side.
4. Run embossing folder through the Big Shot using the regular “sandwich”:
platform, lower cutting plate, embossing folder with paper inside, upper cutting plate
5. Remove the paper from the embossing folder and immediately cover with black embossing powder.
6. Heat set the embossing powder using your heat tool. The embossing powder will cover all but the resist image from the embossing folder.
