Bright Cards with Upcycled Paper Towel Backgrounds
Two Cards out of one paper towel background!
While sorting through my paper scraps, I found a paper towel bursting with tie-dye rainbow colors.
I had used it to clean stamps and blot watercolor from previous projects, and I couldn’t bring myself to throw it away.
As you know, I love incorporating recycled paper towels into my cardmaking because they add unique color and texture.

I found the inspiration for the “Hi” card in a sketch challenge from my fabulous Upline, Tammy Fite:

I adhered the paper towel to a piece of cardstock so I could easily die-cut it into blocks using the smallest square die in my stash.
Then I die-cut the letters with my Mini Alphabet die and set them against a background made from a scrap of Beautiful Bokeh DSP.

With the leftover piece of paper towel, I created a second card and used it to frame a trio of stamped flowers from the retired Simply Zinnia stamp set.
Two cards for the price of one—proof that those paper scraps are worth saving!
