Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Copper Foil Paper Meets Ruffled Embossing Folder

Ruffled Copper Butterfly

Here’s another card I created using copper foil paper embossed with Ruffled, one of the new embossing folders from Stampin’ Up!

Using a die cut machine like the Big Shot paired with an embossing folder instantly brings texture and interest to your paper crafting.

And by using the copper foil paper, your project will be rich and deep in color.

(For another embossed copper foil card I created, please be sure to see my hexagon bee card HERE.)

To create the butterfly, I stamped one of the images from Watercolor Wings using Versamark ink on a scrap piece of Basic Black card stock, then heat embossed it using copper embossing powder.  I then cut it out using the Big Shot and coordinating die found in Butterfly Framelits.

I added a copper glimmer brad from my stash to the center of the butterfly for a little more interest.

The foliage was cut out of Basic Black card stock using the Big Shot and Pretty Pines Framelits dies, which I attached to the embossed copper foil paper using my Fine Tip Glue pen along the bottom only so the tops of the leaves stick up.

After attaching the foliage, I added a narrow strip of torn Basic Black card stock over the bottom of the foil to neaten things up.

The butterfly is popped up using a Dimensional, and I placed black candy dots here and there for more interest.

Using embossing folders is an easy way to add dimension to any paper crafting project.
