The challenge over at the Nacho Average site this week is a color challenge:
Here is my contribution:
For this card I used the Cracked Glass technique.
First I punched out a 2 1/2″ circle out of Whisper White card stock,
then stamped snowflakes from the Snowflake Soiree stamp set using
Midnight Muse and Baja Breeze ink. Then, I patted Versamark over the
stamped circle and heat embossed using Ultra Thick Embossing Powder
(UTEE). I did this step 2 more times, then put the circle in the
freezer to cool for about 10 minutes. I removed it from the freezer and
immediately bent the card stock this way and that. The UTEE will crack! Note: you do not need to put the card stock in the freezer. The freezer
just speeds up the cooling process. Set the piece aside to let it cool down
completely, then bend to crack.
Last step, sponge some
color (I used Midnight Muse) over the cracks.
This is “cool” technique, and I like the color combination!
