Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Craft One, Create Another Beauty

Craft One, Create Another Beauty

Don’t toss those scraps!

Over the past few days, I’ve shared how one project’s leftovers can spark a whole chain of creativity — card after card, each one unique.

Today, I’m wrapping it all up with the final creation: a Zipper-ific card, made from the last bits of the shaving cream background, originally used as a tree embellishment for my Floating Strips Sunrise card HERE. Nothing wasted, only more beauty created!

So to recap, scrap pieces of the Bee Spinner Card here

were first used to create the Floating Strip Sunrise card here

From there, even more scraps found new life in the Floating Strip Stencil card here

Finally, the last of the scraps came together in my All Zipped Up Shaving Cream card here

Zipping By to Say Hello How-To:

  1. Create the Shaving Cream Background
(Watch my Shaving Cream How-to Video HERE.)
For this card, I used Old Olive, Shaded Spruce, and Soft Sea Foam ink refills.

  2. Create Zipper Pieces

    • Die-cut the zipper from the shaving cream card front.

    • Die-cut a zipper and pull from Silver Foil paper.

    • Die-cut a zipper facing from Shaded Spruce card stock.

  3. Assemble the Card Front

    • Attach the shaving cream card front to a Soft Sea Foam backing.

    • Then, attach it to a Shaded Spruce mat.

    • Optional: To create a neckline, punch a circle using a 1 3/8″ circle punch.

  4. Stamp the Greeting

    • Stamp the sentiment (“All Zipped Up”) on the Soft Sea Foam card base using Shaded Spruce ink.

  5. Attach the Card Front

    • Secure the card front to the card base.

  6. Add Finishing Touches

    • Attach the zipper pull and a gem to complete the card.
