Father’s Day Card Masked Background

paired with Waves of Inspiration and He’s All That stamp sets.

This is an easy yet dramatic technique, perfect for those sometimes hard-to-create masculine cards.

Here’s How:

1. Create a mask for the moon by punching a circle out of adhesive sheets or a Post-it note using a die or circle punch.  I used my 1 3/4″ circle punch.
2. Stamp wave from Wave of Inspiration stamp set on Basic White card front.  I used my Stamparatus to get a good stamped image.  I used Lost Lagoon and Night of Navy inks.
3. Place the circle cut-out on the stamped card front.  Using a Blending Brush, add ink to the top of the card front, working around the mask.  I used Night of Navy, Starry Sky, Boho Blue, and Misty Moonlight inks. I used one Blending Brush dedicated to “blues”.
4. Remove the circle mask, and you’ll have a dramatic masked sky background!
5. Add ink to a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using the residue ink left on the Blending Brush.  Stamp greeting from He’s All That stamp set using Night of Navy ink.  Banner cut one end.
6. Stamp birds from Waves of Inspiration using Night of Navy ink.
7. Attach card front to Night of Navy mat.  Attach to Basic White card base.  Add the greeting using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up.

So easy, yet so dramatic.
