Happy Easter Cards for Grandkids

Happy Easter Cards for GrandkidsHappy Easter Cards for Grandkids

This is the card I made for our 3-year-old granddaughter, Madysen.

Madysen has wild bunnies or “hop, hops” as she calls them, visits her yard daily.

She’s always on the lookout for them, and they bring her great joy.

For this card, I punched flowers out of various colors of card stock using the Daisy Punch.

Then, I trimmed the daisy down, leaving just two petals or hop, hop ears.

I used designs from Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper for the background.

I used the In the Woods landscape die and Big Shot to cut the top of the Old Olive polka dot DSP.

The greetings came from Bunny Buddies, a 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit, and were stamped using Blackberry Bliss ink and the Stamparatus.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set: Bunny Buddies

Ink: Blackberry Bliss

Paper: Petal Pink (card base), Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, Purple Posy, Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper

Accessories: Daisy Punch, Big Shot, In the Woods Die, Stamparatus

Happy Easter Cards for Grandkids

This is the card I made for our 7-month-old grandson, Ryan.

I used a variety of current and retired products.

The bunny’s body and the card base were cut out using the Big Shot and circles and ovals found in Stitched Shapes Dies (current).

I used my 1 1/8 scallop circle punch (retired) to create the tail.

I cut off the bottom part of the large circle.

I placed the largest circle just above the scored piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock, making the circle the card base.

After the body parts were stamped, I embossed them using the Big Shot and Subtles Embossing Folder.

For the bunny’s eyes, nose, and whiskers, I used stamps found in Bunny Buddies, a March 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit.

The detail on the ears, eyebrows, feet, and bow tie were stamped using images found in Playful Pals (retired).  The bow tie was cut out using the Big Shot and coordinating Pyramid Pals Dies (retired).

I usually don’t use retired products for my projects, but I saved these cute animal sets because I knew grandchildren would be on the way.

So, I hope you won’t mind too much!
