In the Meadow Reflection Technique

Our theme for the February Stamp Club swap was “animals.”  For my card, I created this reflection technique card using the deer from the stamp set In the Meadow.

In the Meadow 013After creating the sky and water by sponging Marina Mist, Island Indigo, and Pool Party inks, I stamped and colored in the main images of the deer, trees and grass. To create the reflections, I inked up each stamp with Basic Gray Archival ink.  I off stamped the images onto my work paper, turned the stamps upside down and stamped, lining the bottom of the stamps up with the bottom of the original stamped images.

The deer were stamped using Early Espresso ink, then colored in using a blender pen and Crumb Cake ink.  The landscape is the from the stamp set Sheltering Tree stamped full strength and off stamped using Old Olive ink.

Here’s another reflection card I shared recently using the Masking Technique.
