Masterfully Made DSP House

Masterfully Made DSP House

I’m not sure what instigated the creation of this card other than I was cleaning up my crafting table and putting away scrap pieces of designer series paper.

When I came across this torn paper design from the Masterfully Made pack, it reminded me of a quirky landscape that needed an equally quirky house added to it!

Masterfully Made DSP House How-to:

1.Die-cut or free-hand cut a triangle out of Night of Navy card stock for the roof.  I used my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and retired Triangle Dies.

2.Punch or die-cut 1″ circles out of Night of Navy card stock for the shingles of the roof.  I used my 1″ circle punch.

3.Emboss them using an embossing folder to get texture.  I used my Painted Texture Embossing Folder. Cut the circles in half and attach to the roof, trimming the edges as needed.

4.Cut and emboss house out of Fresh Freesia card stock and Painted Texture embossing folder.

5. Cut and emboss squares for windows out of Daffodil Delight card stock and Timeworn Script Embossing Folder.  Draw window panes using Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker. Attach to Night of Navy mat and add to house.

6. Cut and emboss door out of Night of Navy card stock and Timeworn Script Embossing Folder.  Create the door knob using a small hole punch and attach to the door using a Mini Dimensional to pop it up.

7. Attach Masterfully Made DSP card front to Berry Burst mat then to Fresh Freesia card base.  Secure roof to the house, and then attach the house to the card front.

8. Stamp greeting from Just my Type on Fresh Freesia card stock using Night of Navy ink.  Attach to Daffodil Delight mat.  Add to card front using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up.

9. Add adhesive-backed gems to door knob and greeting to complete.

Fun!

The possibilities are endless!
