Oceanfront Easy Background

Oceanfront Easy Background

I saw this idea from Sabrina Kowalski.

She used the large grass image found in the Oceanfront stamp set to create a quick and easy background.

What a great idea!

I paired the background with Circle Sayings.

Here’s How:

  1. Start with a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White card stock.  Stamp the large sea grass image along the long end using Night of Navy ink.  Clean the stamp, and stamp again using Copper Clay ink.  Clean stamp, and stamp using Lost Lagoon ink.

Done!  It’s that easy!

2. Trim a 1 /4″ strip off the background to use on the other side of the card front—another great idea from Sabrina.  I’ll be using it again in future creations!

3. Stamp greeting from Circle Wishes on Basic White card stock using Lost Lagoon ink.  Stamp the sunray image using Copper Clay ink.  Using a die or punch, cut out the image.  I used my 2 3/8″ circle punch.

4. Stamp banner greeting on Basic White card stock using Night of Navy ink.  Fussy cut using scissors.  Place it on top of the punched circle using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up.

5. Using a die or punch, cut out a mat circle.  I used my 2 1/2″ circle punch out of Night of Navy card stock.  Attach the circle to the mat.

6. Attach card front and background strip to Copper Clay mat.  Then attach to a Lost Lagoon card base.  Attach the circle using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up.

7.  Attach embellishments to complete.
