Ribbon Flower Card

Temperatures have been warm the last few days and the snow around our place is melting. I thought I’d
celebrate with this bright and cheery ribbon flower card!

Ribbon flower 002

The flower was made entirely of ribbon scraps that I had in my ribbon stash.  I simply started out by attaching a punched 1 1/4″ scallop circle on my Crumb Cake card front to use as a guide for placement of the ribbon.  I folded 2″-3″ long strips of various polka dot ribbon in half.  Then, I placed them around the punched circle, securing the ends with a little bit of SNAIL adhesive.  The stem and leaves are scrap pieces of Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon.  To create the bottom of the card, I simply placed a piece of Sticky Strip to the top of a strip of Certainly Celery striped ribbon.  I then peeled off the red backing on the Sticky Strip and accordion folded the ribbon.

Quick and easy and a great way to use up ribbon scraps!
