Scrappy Cat Faux Quilt Cards

Scrappy Cat Faux Quilt Cards

Who says scraps are just leftovers?

These adorable Faux Quilt Cat Cards prove that paper scraps can be the cat’s meow by becoming the star of your next project!

Inspired by this pattern found on the Quilting for Everyone Facebook Page.

I resized it for card-making, cutting the card stock using the dimensions below.

It combines the look of cozy quilts and feline charm, making them the perfect blend of crafty and cute.

These cards are perfect for cat lovers or anyone who appreciates creative reuse.

It’s a fun, rewarding project that turns even the smallest scraps into something special.

Scrappy Cat Faux Quilt Cards How-to:

1. Cut Patterned Pieces:
Using the pattern as a guide, cut your designer paper to the measurements provided. I used a mix of retired designer paper scraps.

2. Assemble the Bird Design:

  • On a card front, begin building the cat by following the pattern layout.

3. Emboss the Card Front:

  • Once your design is complete, emboss (Softly Sophisticated) the entire card front using an embossing folder for a quilted effect.

4. Finish the card

  • Option: attach ribbon and bow along seam between the head and the body.

  • Mount to mat, then card base.
  • Add greeting.
