Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Smile! Iris Folded Cameras

Smile! Iris Folded Cameras

Iris Folding has long been one of my favorite crafting techniques, so when the new Capturing Smiles bundle arrived, inspiration clicked instantly.

Combining my love of photography with the camera-inspired look of Iris Folding felt like the perfect match.

Using Small Snippets and Nature Walk designer papers, these cards come together with simple, layered details, giving these cards a look that truly captures the moment.

For these cards, I used a simple iris-folding rectangle pattern that is included in one of the Iris Folding books in my collection, titled Iris Folding 2 by Carol Donasky.

Here is a rectangle pattern shared by The Craft Blog, and found on Pinterest that would work perfectly.

Resize as needed and print.

To create the camera detail, I stamped the top portion of the camera on cardstock, then die-cut it using the Capturing Smiles die. I attached this piece to the top of the iris-folded rectangle.

The center of the iris folding—the “iris”—is finished with glimmer card stock for a touch of shine.

I have many Iris Folded creations, instructions, patterns, and how-to videos on my Iris Folding Page.

The possibilities are endless!
