Since I have been away from my computer for a few days and have some catching up to do, I may not be able to participate in this week’s Stamping 411 sketch. So, I will revisit Sketch #245 from the week of March 3. If you remember, this is the sketch I really did not like at first. The slanted panels took me way out of my comfort zone. But after working with it, I found it has kind of grown on me!
So, I used the sketch for creating my March swap cards for my Saturday Stamp Club. The theme was to use a stamp set that you had never used. Unfortunately, I think we all have a stamp set or two in our stash that has never seen the light of day. Sometimes, these stamp sets haven’t even been mounted! Since I challenge myself often to use my rarely-used stamp sets, I only had 1 in my stamp pantry that had never been mounted. This was the Hostess set Faith in Nature. I liked this stamp set from the very beginning, so am not sure why I never used it before. I will be using it a lot in the next couple of months before it retires at the end of May.
To add a little of dimension to the card, I squeezed on some Crystal Effects to the pear.
