Tidings and Trimmings Christmas in July Card
Is July too soon for getting started on your holiday and Christmas cards?
No, not at all!
In fact, depending on how many names you have on your Christmas card list, it’s a good idea to get started as soon as possible.
By creating cards a little bit at a time over the summer months, you can probably have them all completed by the Fall or early December.
Then, all that is needed is to add your holiday greetings, address and stamp the envelopes, and put them in the mail!
From there, you can focus on other holiday tasks such as gift shopping, decorating, and entertaining friends and family.
Tidings of Christmas Suite
I created this Christmas card using the Tidings of Christmas Suite from Stampin’ Up!
This suite consists of Tidings and Trimmings stamp set which includes perfect images for Christmas: a stocking, stars, and lots of holiday foliage.
The Suite also includes the coordinating Christmas Trimming Dies and Tidings of Christmas 6″x6″ Designer Series Paper.
With this Suite, Christmas card crafting in July couldn’t be any easier!
Here’s How:
- Cut Tidings of Christmas DSP into 3- 3″ x 1 1/4″ panels. Attach to Sahara Sand card base.
- Stamp greeting from Tidings & Trimmings using Cherry Cobbler ink.
- Die-cut stocking out of Tidings of Christmas DSP using a die-cut machine and Christmas Trimming die. Cut another stocking out of Basic White card stock, and cut the upper part of the stocking to be used as the trim. Attach to the top of the stocking using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up. Attach stocking to the card base using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up.
- Die-cut various foliage out of Mossy Meadow, Soft Sea Foam, and Evening Evergreen card stock using a die-cut machine and dies. Die-cut “berries”, bow, and stars out of Cherry Cobbler card stock.
- Attach foliage by slipping underneath the stocking. Add “berries” to foliage using Multi-purpose Glue. Attach the bow using a Mini Dimensional to pop it up. Add stars and pearl to the bow to complete.
Easy!
You have now created a Christmas in July card using the Tidings of Christmas Suite!
