To create the white wash effect, stamp Hardwood on Sahara Sand card stock using Versamark. Heat emboss using white embossing powder. Fill in the parts of the embossed image with a chalk marker. Create a palette of ink in the lid of an ink pad by squeezing the top of the closed pad. Open the pad, and there should be a spot of ink in the lid. Pick up the color from the lid using an Aqua Painter or wet brush and color over the embossed image. For this card, I used a combination of Soft Suede and Cajun Craze inks.
