This was one of our October Stamp Club projects. It is a Christmas ornament made using the ring from a canning jar. So simple, and it was a big hit!
First cut circles out of Winter Wonderland DSP and Coaster Board using the Big Shot and 2 3/4″ Circle Framelits.
Then glue the DSP to the coaster board using a glue stick.
Before inserting the circle into the ring, tie a piece of ribbon using a slip knot through the ring, bringing the ends up which can be tied into a knot later.
Then slip the circle into the ring, pressing it in with your fingers.
Now it is time to decorate. For this project, we stamped the house/tree image from Cozy Christmas on a scrap piece of Shimmer White card stock using Tuxedo Black ink, then fussy cut the image with a pair of scissors. It was added to the DSP using 2 Dimensionals to pop it up. The greeting was stamped on another scrap piece of Shimmer White, the ends were banner cut using the hexagon punch and then attached to the rim of the ring using Mini Glue Dots. Rhinestones were added to the DSP and Dazzling Details was added to the house/tree image to complete.
Optional: stamp a greeting on the back of the coaster board before inserting into the ring. For this project, we stamped the greeting from Cozy Christmas.
Other supplies: canning jar ring
Canning jar rings and lids are sold separately so you don’t have to purchase the jars. I purchased a box of 12 gold sets at ***mart for approx 3.00.
