I’m having such fun creating using the Work of Art stamp set. I used it to make a “sweet” watermelon card shared on July 28 for the Nacho Average Color Challenge #152. The challenge colors are Cucumber Crush, Crushed Curry and Watermelon Wonder. I decided to continue on with the challenge and make this “sweet” popsicle card.
To create the popsicle, I stamped the “swoosh” image from Work of Art full strength at the bottom of my 3 1/2″ x 2″ Whisper White card stock using Watermelon Wonder ink. Then I continued stamping up the piece without reinking. I rounded the corners using my corner rounder punch and used my scallop circle punch to create the bite mark. I sponged on Watermelon Wonder ink along the bite and around the edges. To create the stick, I used the long, narrow image in the stamp set inked up in Cucumber Crush and stamped on a piece of scrap Whisper White card stock. I then punched it out using my Word Window punch. The bottom half of the card front is embossed using the Stripes Embossing Folder and Big Shot. This embossing folder is retired, but any in the current catalog would work (dots, stars, stripes). The greeting “sweet” comes from one of my favorite retired stamp sets, Sweet Shapes. Alternate current stamp sets could be You’re So Sweet and Six Sided Sampler.
