Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Apple Stamping-CASology “Apple” Challenge

Our Casology cue word this week is “apple.”

Here’s my contribution:

Flower Stamping 058

After stamping using a zinnia bloom (see posting 09/04, Stamping With Flowers), I knew I had to try stamping using a real apple.

So, I went out to one of our apple trees and picked one!  They are not ripe yet, but I figured we could spare one for the sake of crafting!

I cut the apple in two and removed the seeds.

I painted on some ink using a brush, then stamped on a piece of white card stock.  I experimented using acrylic paint, craft ink and dye ink.  My favorite stamped image came from using regular dye ink.

Once I got my technique down, I painted the apple using Real Red dye ink and stamped it onto a piece of Designer Series Paper.  I added a stem and leaves made using the Bird Builder punch.  I stamped the greeting with the help of my Stamp a ma jig.  And because I had a few smudges of Real Red on the DSP ( It never fails whenever I use Real Red ink. It gets everywhere!), I spritzed on some Real Red using my color spritzer tool and Real Red marker.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set: Pennant Parade

Ink: Real Red, Gumball Green, Real Red and Gumball Green markers

Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Gumball Green, Early Espresso, retired Designer Series Paper from my stash

Accessories: apple, brush, plastic lid, Bird Builder punch, Dimensionals, Paper Piercing template, Stamp a ma jig, color spritzer tool
